c) Revise SECTION C – DESCRIPTIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS;

d) Revise SECTION E – INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE;

e) Revise SECTION F – DELIVERIES OR PERFORMANCE;

f) Revise SECTION I – CONTRACT CLAUSES;

g) Revise SECTION L – INSTRUCTIONS, CONDITIONS AND NOTICES TO BIDDERS; and

1. The following questions were submitted by potential Offerors. The Government’s response follows each question. Questions and Answers 042 through 044 are provided in this Amendment 0006. Questions and Answers 001 to 041 were provided in previous amendments.

Question 042: Paragraph C.1.8 allows for the option to ship the craft from ACU 4 to ACU 5, post-SLEP. With the possibility for damage during transit post-SLEP, would the Government be amenable to allowing transport pre-SLEP and performance of LCAC SLEP at either ACU 5 or Contractor’s facility on the West Coast in the vicinity of ACU 5?

Answer 042: Yes, the Government will modify the RFP to include an option for performance at ACU 5, with Contractor responsible transport occuring prior to induction into the SLEP availabilities. The Contractor shall still bear the risk of any destruction or damage prior to acceptance of the craft at ACU 5. Per the current RFP, Contractors are permitted to propose offsite performance of the SLEP availabilities at their facility in the United States.

The RFP has been modified in multiple locations to account for this change as shown below in paragraph 2.

Question 043: Will the Government consider extending the Proposal due date an additional three weeks to 13 July 2018?

Answer 043: Yes, the Government will extend the Proposal due date an additional three weeks to 13 July 2018.

Question 044: Is the Navy interested in pursuing the addition of an anti-mine defense system on LCAC?

Answer 044: No, there is currently no requirement or funding for the LCAC SLEP program to include anti-mine defense systems.
