About this file
This is a maintenance service report documenting a preventive maintenance visit to an air compressor system at the VA Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. The service was performed on December 11, 2024, by Medpipe for facility job number 622374. The system is an Amico duplex scroll medical-grade air compressor (model A-SCD-D-080P-SS-N-030-20863-TES, serial Q31306A) manufactured on March 15, 2022, and installed in the Sterile Processing service area. The system consists of two compressor pumps with run hours of 2,174 and 2,136 respectively.
The inspection evaluated all major components including belt tension, discharge check valves, unloaders, solenoids, inlet filters, after-cooler drain valves, crankcase filters, tip seals, starter contacts, relief valves, thermal overload settings, transformer condition, panel lamps and relays, pressure switches, dyers, and monitoring systems. All components inspected were rated as "Acceptable" with no deficiencies noted. Motor specifications were documented including voltage readings, amperage measurements ranging from 7.60 to 9.75 amps across multiple motors, and efficiency ratings of 85.50 percent. CO and dew point monitors were tested and functioned within acceptable parameters. The customer, David Dombkowski, requested spare parts inventory consisting of four belts and four intake filters for the non-clinical system. The recommendation was to maintain the preventive maintenance frequency schedule currently in place.
