About this file
This document is an Amendment 1 to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Fermilab Facilities Design Group (FFDG) related to the LBNF-372427-KE solicitation. The amendment details a mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference and optional Site Tour scheduled for September 9, 2025, at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. Prospective Offerors must submit a Fermilab Access Request form for each individual attending in-person by September 2, 2025, and those planning to attend virtually must notify Ken Eichten via email with participant details by the same date.
During the conference, FFDG representatives will provide a brief presentation on the Statement of Work and conduct a tour of relevant SURF surface and underground facilities. All questions and answers will be documented and shared with participants. Attendees are responsible for their own travel costs, and the amendment emphasizes that oral explanations are not binding. Additionally, the document highlights a critical requirement that all subcontractor employees and sub-tier subcontractors must comply with REAL-ID requirements when accessing Fermilab and South Dakota Department of Energy leased sites.
