About this file

This is a Location Specification Sheet for snow plowing and removal services at the Kingsford Armory in Kingsford, Michigan, involving the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). The contract encompasses snow management services for a three-year initial term beginning approximately September 18, 2020, with two optional one-year renewal/extension options that could extend the contract through 2025. The scope of work includes snow plowing for standard parking areas, parking spaces, entrances, and exits across multiple accumulation thresholds (2"-6", 6"-12", and over 12"), with estimated frequencies of 10, 8, and 1 occasions per season respectively. Additional services include plowing of the military parking lot prior to scheduled drill weekends, salt and sand application upon request, snow removal from premises with loader and dump truck, and damage repair and restoration of grounds and property following the snow season. The contractor must also maintain access to the FMS shop motor-pool area for safe maneuvering of military vehicles during 2"-12" snow events on working days. Plowing operations are scheduled Monday through Friday during nighttime hours (6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.), with additional coverage on scheduled drill weekends as identified by the State Maintenance Worker.

The pricing sheet requires bidders to provide unit prices for each snow management service category and to complete a detailed equipment inventory indicating the make, model, capacity, quantity, age, and ownership status of all equipment that will be utilized for contract performance. Bidders must confirm their review and acceptance of the specification requirements or document any exceptions in a response box. The contract administrator is Timothy Cole, and the program manager is Jason Viau, with all invoices to be sent to the DMVA accounts payable office. No specific pricing, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding amounts are detailed in this specification sheet.
