About this file
This Location Specification Sheet (LSS) pertains to snow plowing and removal services for the Ishpeming Armory in Ishpeming, Michigan, under a contract administered by the State of Michigan's Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). The contract runs for three years from approximately September 18, 2020, to September 18, 2023, with two optional one-year extension periods that could extend the contract through 2025. The scope of work includes snow plowing for accumulations of 2" to 6", 6" to 12", and over 12", with estimated seasonal occurrences of 10, 8, and 1 times respectively. Additional services include salt and sand application for both the entire parking areas and the three sloped drives, snow plowing of the military parking lot prior to scheduled drill weekends, snow removal from the premises, and property damage repair following the snow season. Plowing operations are scheduled for weekday nights between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., plus scheduled drill weekends. Bidders must also plow the FMS shop motor-pool area during all 2" to 12" snow events to ensure safe maneuvering of military vehicles during working hours.
Bidders are required to provide detailed equipment lists identifying all machinery to be utilized, including make, model, capacity, quantity, age, and ownership status (owned or leased). The pricing sheet requests unit prices for each snow plowing and removal service category, though specific pricing amounts are not detailed in this document. Contract administration is handled by Timothy Cole at the State of Michigan, while Program Manager Alvar Maki represents the armory. All invoices should be directed to the DMVA Accounts Payable office. Bidders must confirm their review and acceptance of all specification requirements or document any exceptions in the response.
