About this file
This is a Location Specification Sheet (LSS) for snow plowing and removal services at the Calumet Armory in Calumet, Michigan, involving the State of Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA). The contract encompasses snow plowing services for standard parking areas, parking spaces, entrances, and exits across the entire facility, with plowing scheduled Monday through Friday nights from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and on scheduled drill weekends as identified by the State Maintenance Worker. Services are tiered by snowfall accumulation: 2" to 6" (estimated 10 occasions per season), 6" to 12" (estimated 8 occasions per season), and over 12" (estimated 1 occasion per season). Additional services include salt/sand application upon request, dedicated military parking lot plowing with monthly pre-drill weekend scheduling and automatic deployment if snowfall exceeds 8" in depth, snow removal from the premises with loader and dump truck equipment, and damage repair and landscape restoration following the snow season. The contract term is three years beginning approximately September 18, 2020, with two optional one-year renewal/extension options that could extend the contract through 2025.
The pricing sheet requires bidders to submit unit prices for each snow plowing service category and upon-request services, though specific pricing amounts are not populated in this document. Bidders must provide comprehensive equipment lists detailing all machinery to be utilized for contract performance, including the make, model, capacity, quantity, age, and ownership status (owned or leased) of each piece of equipment. Points of contact include Contract Administrator Timothy Cole and Program Manager Fred Fountaine, with all invoices directed to DMVA Accounts Payable. The document does not specify set-asides, incumbent contractor information, or specific funding amounts.
