About this file

This document is an amendment to RFP 200000002062 providing answers to vendor questions regarding insurance requirements and certificate of insurance (COI) submission procedures. The amendment clarifies that while bidders must confirm in their proposal responses that they are or will be adequately insured to the minimum limits specified in the standard contract terms, a COI is not required to be submitted with the initial bid submittal. Instead, the COI demonstrating the required coverage must be provided only upon written notification of contract award.

The clarification addresses a discrepancy between an earlier vendor question document and RFP page 17, establishing that insurance documentation is a post-award requirement rather than a pre-award submission requirement. This distinction allows bidders to proceed with their proposals while deferring the submission of actual insurance certificates until after contract award notification is received.

Amendment to RFP 200000002062 Answers to Vendor Questions

Q. 1 Question date: 08/26/20

RE:

a. I see that in document “1-Answers to Vender Questions” Q.3 eludes to the submittal of a COI with the bid, however the RFP page 17 states that upon written notice of contract award the contractor shall submit all required insurance certificates, etc. Is a COI required with the bid submittal?

ANSWER: You must confirm in your answer that you either already are or will be adequately insured to the minimum limits outlined in the standard contract terms, and provide a COI showing this coverage upon written notification of contract award. A COI is not required with the bid submittal.
