About this file
This document provides information on an upcoming federal contract opportunity for replacement of satellite communications systems on KC-135 aircraft. The Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Tinker Air Force Base will replace aging Aero-I INMARSAT systems with new Iridium satellite terminals, antennas, and associated components across approximately 400 aircraft. Industry participants are sought who can provide production data, repair capabilities, and experience to deliver the new systems and integrate them by 2022. An industry day will be held on May 8, 2018 for interested parties to learn program details and have individual discussions. Questions are due by April 25, with responses to the capability survey and any briefings due by May 1 in preparation for a future solicitation.
