About this file
This document is a clarifications appendix for a federal contract involving an incinerator combustion gas conditioning and control system designed for the Embassy of the United States of America in Costa Rica.
The clarification addresses the recirculation tank design component of the spin washing machine system. It specifies that the hatches (upper access covers) on the recirculation tank may be modified, divided, or reduced in size without affecting system operation, and may be constructed from alternative materials including galvanized steel, HDPE plastic, or acrylic to reduce weight. The document confirms that sufficient space must be maintained for personnel to enter the tank for cleaning, maintenance, and water sampling purposes. Additionally, the clarification permits an increase in the height of the sediment curtain (first baffle) and tank by up to 35 centimeters to maintain a constant circular hydraulic volume or capacity without compromising the proper operation of the washing system. The document is signed by two INCINER8 LatAm representatives: Sebastián López Montoya, Commercial Director with an MBA in Environmental Engineering, and Carlos Alberto Echeverri Londoño, Technical Advisor with a PhD in Environmental Engineering. The clarification was prepared in Guatemala in July 2026 and is marked as Sensitive But Unclassified.

2. ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATION ON RECIRCULATION TANK DESIGN
The recirculation tank design proposes hatches (upper access covers) that may be modified, divided, or reduced without affecting system operation. They may even be made of different types of materials in order to reduce or decrease their weight, such as galvanized steel, HDPE plastic, acrylic, among others. It should be noted that sufficient space must be left for a person to enter in order to clean, maintain, and/or take water samples from the system.
Regarding the height of the sediment curtain (first baffle) and the tank, there is no issue with increasing its height by up to an additional 35 cm in order to maintain a constant circular hydraulic volume or capacity; therefore, this will not affect the proper operation of the washing system.
