About this file

This is a technical specification document for a mixing tank and alkaline dosification system (150-200 liters nominal capacity) designed for pH control in gas washing towers.

The system comprises a stainless steel AISI 316L vertical tank with conical bottom, equipped with a vertical agitator featuring a motor reducer, continuous pH sensor (0-14 pH range, 4-20 mA transmitter), ultrasonic or hydrostatic level sensor (4-20 mA output), high and low level switches, and visual level indicator. The tank includes a dosification pump outlet with non-return valve for recycling and a manual pulse activation control. The monitoring and alarm system integrates into a PLC/SCADA control panel and includes three alarm types: visual strobe light, audible siren, and manual activation button. System dimensions are approximately 1.0-1.2 meters in height with 0.5-0.7 meter diameter. The design temperature range is ambient to 50°C at atmospheric pressure (ventilated).

The functional operation involves water intake from facility water service, preparation of alkaline solution (water plus NaOH/Ca(OH)₂) in the mixing tank with continuous agitation, automated pH and level monitoring with dosification pump control to maintain desired pH range in the main recycling tank, and circulation of treated solution to the gas washing tower exhaust system. The manufacturer guarantees structural integrity, corrosion resistance, chemical compatibility with NaOH and Ca(OH)₂ solutions, and compliance with applicable design and fabrication standards. All wetted components must be compatible with alkaline solutions per specifications.
