About this file

This is a pricing submittal sheet template for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) #5000 RBB1011 issued by the City of Austin, Texas, for industrial gases and cylinders. The solicitation encompasses Category 1 products, which include various industrial gases supplied in cylinders and tanks such as oxygen (437 cylinders estimated annually at 200 cubic feet), nitrogen in multiple sizes (totaling approximately 100 cylinders), argon in various grades and sizes (totaling approximately 453 units), acetylene (522 cylinders), helium, hydrogen, and liquid argon (3 dewars). Additional estimated items include cylinder rentals of approximately 2,739 units monthly. The file does not specify response dates, bid opening dates, site visits, or bidder conferences; rather, it serves as a template document for procurement specialists to customize prior to solicitation publication. The procurement specialist identified is Ryan Braziel.

Pricing for Category 1 items must be submitted on a unit price basis with no more than four decimal places, with extended prices calculated by the system. Category 2 allows for an additional 10 percent maximum markup on costs for non-specified products, while Category 3 requires offerors to provide manufacturer information and fixed discount or markup percentages for potential additional products not used in bid evaluation. All pricing must be all-inclusive of administrative fees, overhead, shipping, and transportation costs to the Austin, Texas area, with no separate charges permitted. The City reserves the right to award a single contract based on overall low bid or multiple awards by category or line item based on cost or other criteria deemed advantageous. A bid of zero will be interpreted as a no-charge item, while "no bid" or blank responses may result in non-responsiveness and disqualification. The template notes that altering the pricing submittal sheet or taking exceptions to the solicitation may jeopardize bid acceptance.
