About this file

This is a Subcontracting Plan submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to Leak Detection Services for the municipal water distribution system. The contract requires the contractor to provide leak detection services for an estimated five hundred linear miles of the City's water distribution system annually, with all necessary materials, equipment, transportation, and labor to be supplied by the contractor. The form is optional and allows contractors to identify approved subcontractors for use on the project, subject to prior written approval from the City.

The City of Austin's Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) Procurement Program office conducted a review and determined that no MBE/WBE subcontracting goals apply to this contract due to insufficient subcontracting opportunities and insufficient availability of certified MBE/WBE firms. However, the contractor is encouraged to utilize certified Small Business subcontractors, including MBE/WBE enterprises, whenever possible. The form provides multiple blank entry sections for contractors to list subcontractor details, including name, vendor ID code, contact information, subcontract amount, percentage of work, scope of goods and services, relevant experience, and small business certification information if applicable. Any changes to approved subcontractors require submission of a revised form to the City for prior approval before implementation.
