About this file
Summary: Leak Detection Services - IFB Attachment 6
This document is an attachment to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the City of [jurisdiction] in Texas for leak detection services on the municipal water distribution system. The project requires contractors to provide leak detection services covering an estimated 500 linear miles of the City's water distribution system annually, with a survey mile defined as one linear mile of water distribution main regardless of appurtenances inspected. The contractor must supply all necessary materials, equipment, transportation, and labor to complete the scope of work. The document serves as a technical specification or requirements attachment supporting the primary IFB solicitation for this service contract.
The attachment establishes the fundamental service delivery parameters and contractor responsibilities for identifying and locating leaks throughout the City's extensive water infrastructure network. By defining the measurement standard (linear miles via GIS mapping) and comprehensive contractor obligations, this attachment ensures consistent evaluation of bidder qualifications and capabilities to execute the leak detection program effectively across the 500-mile annual service requirement.
