Question and Answer Matrix 2

Specification Work Item D‐32 and 33

Vent Ducting Renewal

Regarding work items 32 and 33, the drawings provided in the work items, which are cut from drawing “400 WAGB_3801_4_1, Rev J” are illegible as is the original drawing provided in the reference package. In order to properly bid the ducting renewals please provide a better copy of this drawing.

A higher resolution drawing will be emailed to all prospective offerors that requested drawings.

Please provide the most recent fire inspection report for the Polar Star. The USCG is not aware of this report.

Attachment 2, Provisions

Accessibility of the Contractor's Facility

Regarding Provision (12) of the solicitation “ACCESSIBILITY OF CONTRACTOR’S FACILITY”, the requirement is for the facility and the approach to have a minimum water depth of 34 feet. Previous drydocking solicitation for FY14: HSCG85‐14‐C‐P45C85 Amendment 2 required a 2 foot under keel clearance at MLLW from its light load draft of 27 feet. Will a similar amendment to the current solicitation provision be added for this contract to reduce the necessary minimum water depth prior to the cutter’s arrival at the Contractor’s facility. Please see the attached Amendment 2 from the previous solicitation.

The specification work items 6,7,8 and contract term (12) will be revised to: a minimum of 2 feet under the keel in Amendment 4.

13 Should we be watching out for another amendment?

Yes. Amendment 4 will be coming out shortly.
