Summary of Bid Addendum November 4, 2016 Solicitation GS-03-P-17-AZ-C-0001 Environmental Remediation Services at the former Belle Mead Army Depot in Belle Mead, NJ Schedule A Bid Item 10 Site Grading quantity was reduced from 235 acres to 210 acres to reflect removal of repetitive site grading activities in the Consolidation Area and the Construction Support Zone.
Bid item 11 Top Soil and Seed quantity was reduced from 235 acres to 191 acres to reflect removal of Consolidation Area, Construction Support Zone, and Wetland/Riparian Areas which are not paid in this bid item.
Bid Item 16 Wetland and Riparian Zone Restoration and Plantings was rounded to 19 acres from the previous 19.081 acre estimate.
Bid Item 21-01 Rail Ties was updated to reflect an estimated quantity, measured in tons, for rail tie disposal.
Above changes were reflected in the Unit Price allowance with a 15% allowance on revised quantities.
Clarification of Tree/Shrub Plantings The Tree Mitigation plan used an incorrect value for the wetland and riparian zone restoration and will be modified to reflect the value below. The upland tree and shrub estimates of 8,000 and 3,000 trees will remain in Bid Item 15 and are inclusive of the plantings shown on the DRCC buffer zone restoration (1222 trees and 407 shrubs) and the 50-foot landscape buffer (___trees and ___ shrubs).
Wetland restoration, transition area restoration, and riparian zone restoration across 19 acres of the site (reflected in Bid item 16) include 9,078 trees, 2,505 shrubs, and 345 other (wetland sedges and rushes) plantings.
The following table details the numbers of plantings in each area of the site and under which bid item the plantings would be covered. Note that planting table on LP-1-16 is for the 50-foot landscape buffer which is part of the Eastern Area. This drawing has been updated to change “total project” to “50-foot landscape buffer”. Planting details have been prepared for Wetland Restoration, Wetland Transition Areas, Riparian Zones, and the DRCC Buffer Zones (see LP-1-01 through LP-1-10). Upland tree details are provided only for the 50-foot landscaped buffer on the eastern side of the site (see LP-1-11 through LP-1-16). Remaining upland tree plantings are discussed in the Tree Preservation/Mitigation Plan provided in the Bid Package. The trees/shrubs included in the Tree Preservation/Mitigation Plan are inclusive of the DRCC Buffer Zones and the 50-foot landscaped buffer.
