About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) from the U.S. Air Force regarding the potential implementation of industry interest in the F117 Follow-On Contract. The Air Force is considering whether to provide or recall government-furnished property (GFP) in the form of tooling and test equipment for the follow-on F117 contract. The RFI poses four key questions to industry:

  1. Whether bidders would still be interested in the follow-on F117 contract if the USAF does not provide/recalls GFP tooling and test equipment.
  2. What specific challenges bidders would face if GFP tooling and test equipment is not provided/recalled.
  3. Whether the previously stated timeline to stand-up a depot would change if the USAF does not provide/recall GFP tooling and test equipment.
  4. What portions of the work bidders would still be interested in performing if GFP tooling and test equipment is not provided/recalled.

Responses to this RFI are requested to be submitted to alexandra.crothers@us.af.mil by 4pm CT on Friday, November 8, 2024.

GFP RFI Questions

USAF respectfully requests responses submitted to alexandra.crothers@us.af.mil by 4pm CT on Friday 8 Nov 2024.

The USAF is considering the implementation on industry interest in the F117 Follow-On Contract if GFP in the form of tooling and test equipment is not provided/recalled by the USAF. This would not affect GFM provided by F77.

1. If the USAF does not provide/recalls GFP tooling and test equipment for the follow-on F117 contract, would you still be interested in bidding on the contract?

2. What specific challenges will you have if GFP tooling and test equipment is not provided/recalled?

3. Does the previous stated timeline given to stand-up a depot change if the USAF does not provide/recalled GFP tooling and test equipment?

4. What, if any, portion of the work would you still be interested in preforming if GFP tooling and test equipment was not provided/recalled?
