About this file

This is an insurance provisions document establishing vendor requirements for the Furnish and Install Storm Shelters project at Capehart Housing, Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma (Solicitation FP1024718). The document outlines mandatory insurance coverage requirements that all subcontractors must maintain throughout contract performance. Contractors are required to carry comprehensive general liability insurance, workers' compensation insurance as mandated by applicable state law, and employer's liability insurance with specified minimum coverage limits. The insurance requirements include general liability with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 general aggregate, workers' compensation coverage meeting Oklahoma statutory requirements, and employer's liability with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence. All insurance policies must name the Government and ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors, LLC (AFGSC), the prime contractor, as additional insureds and must contain waiver of subrogation clauses in favor of the Government and AFGSC.

The document also specifies that all insurance must be maintained with carriers rated A-:VII or better by A.M. Best, and certificates of insurance must be provided prior to commencing work. The contractor bears responsibility for all insurance costs and must ensure continuous coverage throughout the contract period. Failure to maintain the required insurance or provide timely proof of coverage constitutes grounds for contract termination. These insurance provisions apply to all subcontractors and are binding requirements for participation in this firm-fixed-price construction solicitation for furnishing and installing 158 prefabricated storm shelters.
