About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for Air Force solicitation FA875126Q0013, a Request for Quotation issued as a small business set-aside for the renovation of Suite H8 in Building 3. The document addresses clarifications from the pre-bid site visit held on 15 September 2026, with responses posted on 16 September 2026. Key project details include: all deliveries must enter through the right lane at the entrance gate during non-rush hours (avoiding 0600-0800); the facility houses vibration-sensitive instruments requiring special consideration for column penetration through the roof into the penthouse; approximately 8 inches of slab flooring will be removed; propane minis may be used for debris removal, but the temporary boiler room door cannot be used for debris egress; and long lead time items may be procured ahead of the notice to proceed. The roofing project should be complete prior to work commencement, while boiler work will continue concurrently. The document notes that photography is prohibited on-site, though specific images may be requested from the government.
The RFI (Request for Information) submission period closes at 1600 on 25 September 2026, with a notice indicating that additional Q&A responses will follow. The notice to proceed is expected to include a 10-day window following the pre-construction meeting and award issuance. Two images of existing electrical infrastructure (panels/disconnects in the H8 corridor and switchgear per Drawing E-14) are referenced as supporting documentation. The government declined to provide cost range information for the project.

Questions & Answers Version 1 (Posted 16 September 2026)
Q1: Are there any restrictions on deliveries into the site?
A1: All deliveries must be searched by entering the right lane at the entrance gate. Suggest avoiding the ‘rush hour’ of 0600 – 0800. Standard site access ID requirements are in place as detailed in the solicitation.
Q2: What are your thoughts on the columns to the penthouse?
A2: Need to penetrate the roof with the column. There is a lot of sensitivity to vibration which is the reason for the penthouse. Everything coming into the facility is taking vibration into account. The instruments that will be used in the facility are very sensitive to vibration.
Q3: What is the RFI period?
A3: RFI’s will be accepted until 1600 on 25 September 2026 Q4: Can the door by the boilers be used to remove debris and concrete?
A4: Likely not as it is a temporary door and may not be there when this project commences. An alternate route will have to be used Q5: Is the slab floor coming out and what is the thickness?
A5: Yes, a large portion of the slab will need to be removed. Approximately 8” thick Q6: Can propane minis be used for debris removal?
A6: Yes Q7: Has the FRP color and type been selected already?
A7: Unknown at this time but not applicable Q8: Can you provide the cost range of this project?
A8: No, we don’t provide that information Q9: When does the ‘clock start’ on this project?
A9: We will issue the award and hold a pre-con meeting. Then a notice to proceed will be issued with likely a 10-day window Q10: Can long lead time items be done ahead of the ‘clock start’ A10: Yes Q11: Will the roofing and boiler projects be on-going during this project?
A11: The roofing should be complete. The boiler will be on-going Q12: Are pictures allowed to be taken?
A12: No, but we may be able to provide specific pictures upon request (see below)
