A. Remove existing built-up roofing, gravel and all metal flashings; includes all site demolition, hauling and dumping.

Remove existing shingle roof. Includes felt underlayment removal.

D.

Remove existing rigid insulation to include hauling and dumping; average thickness is 3.5”

E.

Remove lightweight concrete gypsum fill (ave. thickness is 3”).

F.

Remove existing roof drains, flash and seal. Install new roof drains flashed and sealed complete with dome strainer, rings, clamps, 20 linear feet of DWV cast iron pipe (up to 10” dia.) includes tie-in to existing roof drain, new strip-in roofing plies, flood coat and gravel.

G.

Remove and install the existing lightning protection system as per specification 16610. Install a 12” x

12” granular surfaced SBS modified pad over the new membrane at each rod or cable base plate attachment location. Use Firestone dispensable two-part sealer for non-destructive attachment to the membrane pad, parapet cap flashing or parapet wall.

H.

Remove existing gutter and downspouts to include hauling and dumping.

I. Set-up costs for eave height 15’ to 30’, includes all man-hours and equipment over and above set-up cost for 0’ to 15’.

J. Set-up costs for eave height 30’ and higher, includes all man-hours and equipment costs over and above set-up costs for over 30’.

K.

Install a 3-ply cold process adhesive, modified asphalt built-up roof using type G2 base sheet with a granular surfaced, glass reinforced, 100 lb min. SBS modified cap sheet. The same material will be used for all base flashing. All materials and workmanship will include a 20 year warranty from the manufacturer.

L.

Install a 4-ply, asphalt built-up roof using type IV felts with a 20 year full materials and workmanship warranty from the manufacturer. A 100 lb. granular surfaced, glass reinforced, SBS modified membrane for all base flashings or equivalent, (*agreed upon) mopped on with flood coat and gravel.

Built-up Roof IDIQ Line Item Supplement

All line items include labor, materials, equipment, overhead, profit, and minor demolition of existing gutters, downspouts, fascia, roof edge metals, etc. and set-up charges for 0’ to

15’ eave height. All references to factory coated or coating shall be a KYNAR 500 or

HYLAR 5000 based fluoropolymer coating.

Contract Line Items 0001 and 0002: for HAFB, Little Mountain, and UTTR

Install a 4-ply (20 Year) Built-Up Roof

N.

Install ¾” pearlite board, mopped in place.

O.

Install ¾” CDX plywood roof sheathing.

P.

Apply asphalt prime coat over existing insulation and/or deck.

Q.

Install tapered insulation with ¼” per foot (min.) slope.

R. Install premium laminated multi-layer asphalt shingles or approved equivalent with #30 felt underlayment.

S.

Installation of GAF’s TOPCOAT liquid membrane system (or equivalent)will be applied according to the manufacture’s specifications and will include a through power washing of all surfaces on which the membrane is to be applied, preparation and sealing of all fasteners, seams, cracks and penetrations including reinforcing fabric on all seams, cracks and penetrations, a full base coat and a full finish coat. The membrane shall be a minimum of 18 mils thickness in the field areas of the roof and a minimum of 45 mils thickness on roof penetrations and other details.

T.

Install 24 gauge, galvanized scupper with factory applied KYNAR 500 or HYLAR 5000 coating.

U.

Install 4” deep pitch pockets or approved equivalent.

V.

Install ½” CDX plywood roof sheathing.

W.

Install 2” x 12” treated wood curbs that extend at least 8” above the plane of the finished roof.

X Install 24 gauge, galvanized steel flashing with KYNAR 500 or HYLAR 5000 factory applied coating, 8” face. Apply asphalt prime coat over metal before roof membrane application. Includes 20 gauge, galvanized continuous cleat.

Y Install 24 gauge, galvanized steel gravel stop or (.050” thick aluminum) with a 6” painted face, or approved equivalent.

Z Install 24 gauge, galvanized metal drip edge with 4” face or approved equivalent.

AA

Lift and reset equipment to its base and supports. Work also includes all disconnecting and reconnecting of electrical/plumbing/mechanical services and supplies and refastening equipment to its base and supports

Remove non-friable asbestos base flashing, includes hauling and disposal fees IAW state and local laws. Contractors will use a Hill AFB approved asbestos abatement certified sub-contractor. Hill AFB

Remove abandoned equipment, pipes, and other materials. Seal roof as required.

AE

Install 24 gauge, galvanized expansion joint cover with KYNAR 500 or

HYLAR 5000 coating; cost will cover widths up to 16” wide including radius. Rounded portion of cover will be bent at ¼” intervals over the entire radius.

AF

Install guy anchors to provide support for stacks or objects that could be affected by wind shear.

AG

Install new clean-outs to existing drain system to include all prep work and disposal of debris.

AH Install 20 gauge galvanized steel to cover equipment, windows, and penetrations as needed. Metal will be primed and painted to meet architectural compatibility.

AI

Install 5” wide gutter with heavy duty steel brackets or approved equivalent. Steel brackets shall be fabricated from ¼” thick by 1½” wide steel. Brackets shall be shop painted to match architectural compatibility. Gutters shall be factory coated 24 gauge galvanized steel. Each gutter joint and gutter/downspout transition will receive joint sealant or tape. After installation each gutter joint and gutter/downspout transition shall have an 8” wide, adhesive mounted, strip of EPDM to ensure water tightness. The EPDM strip will line not only the inside bottom of the gutter but both sides of the gutter as well.

AJ 4” downspouts shall be factory coated 24 gauge galvanized steel or approved equivalent and painted to match gutter.

AK

Install polyisocyanurate rigid insulation, mopped on with R-19 factor.

AL

Install fiberglass batt insulation, foil backed with R-19 factor.

AM

Repair or replace siding as needed.

AN Install parapet cap flashing up to 20” wide with 6” sides, 24 gauge, galvanized steel with KYNAR 500 or HYLAR 5000 coating with continuous cleat.

AO Install asphalt impregnated walk-way at least 3’ wide and ½” thick, granular surfaced, glass reinforced

100 lb. min. modified SBS membrane.

AP Install SRF-RG Chromalox Ambient-sensing thermostat or approved equal heat cable up to 50’ with controller, includes any electrical work needed to complete.

AQ

Install additional controllers as required beyond 50’.

AR

Install additional controls for Heat Tape

Hauling debris consist of 1 load/hr within 5 mile radius round trip quantified in loose cubic yards.

Concrete surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dry and free from any surface contaminates or cleaning residue that may harmfully affect the adhesion of the membrane.

BD Existing earth berm and backfill will be removed from an existing covered facility to allow for an appropriate waterproofing membrane sealant to be applied.

BE Replace previously existing earth berm and backfill after waterproofing membrane has been installed.

Berm depth and slope dimensions will be dependant upon the facility's layout, but will not be less than

30" deep at any point covering the facility.
