1. Responsibilities
1.1. The Director, USAFA UAS-RPA Programs will ensure compliance with AFI 11-502V2, AFI 11-5T, and other relevant AFIs and policies.
1.2. USAFA UAS Stan/Eval Officer.
1.2.1. The Senior Stan/Eval Officer will be a SUAS-E qualified officer or contractor appointed by the Director. Should no SUAS-E qualified individual be available, the Director will appoint a suitable individual, preferably someone with rated evaluator experience. Responsibilities include overseeing the stan/eval program to include checkride scheduling, administration and record keeping; and ensuring the integrity of the testing program. Conducts trend analysis. Maintains a checkride currency tracker and schedules checkrides. Establishes Training and Flight Evaluation Folder (TFEF) standards. Inspects TFEFs at least semi-annually.
1.2.2. Cadet Chief of Stan/Eval. Appointed by the Director. Should be a SUAS-E qualified cadet if possible. Responsible for writing and administering the Boldface/Ops Limits, Closed Book, MQT Open Book and SUAS-E Open Book written tests.
1.3. Cadet Stan/Eval Liaison (SELO). Appointed by the CIC. Maintains the FCIF program.
Assists the Cadet Chief of Stan/Eval in the performance of all Stan/Eval duties.
Normally a second class cadet SUAS-O.
2. SUAS Evaluators
2.1. The Director will designate SUAS-Es from assigned military and contractor SUAS instructors (SUAS-I). The SQ CC will recommend SUAS-E candidates from assigned Cadet SUAS-I’s for Director approval.
2.2. SUAS-Es will be certified in writing and the certification letter filed in the operator’s TFEF. In the event there are no qualified SUAS-Es available in the system, the Director may appoint a SUAS-E with experience in a similar system to conduct evaluations as required. Such individuals must have previous evaluator experience.
2.3. SUAS-Es administer evaluations and examinations to ensure the standardization of a highly proficient and qualified operator force at the USAFA.
3. SUAS Evaluations
3.1. USAFA SUAS Evaluations are USAFA mission-specific and will update BAQ status.
3.2. For research evaluations, USAFA SUAS evaluations will comply with AFI 11-5T guidance.
4. SUAS-O Examination Program
4.1. USAFA SUAS evaluations will comply with AFI 11-502V2 guidance.
5. Documentation
5.1. All SUAS-O checkrides will be documented on AF Form 8.

5.2. Each individual will maintain a consolidated TFEF with each AF Form 1042 (or FAA medical certificate), SUAS-O/I/E AF Form 8, Form 942, and all SUAS related training documentation and certifications.
5.3. TFEFs will be inspected by Stan/Eval at least once semi-annually.
6. Additional Programs
6.1. FCIFs will be maintained in hardcopy and posted on Sharepoint.
6.1.1. Maintain an FCIF Publications library IAW AFI 11-502V2.
6.1.2. FCIF currency will be documented and posted with the FCIF library.
6.2. Special Interest Items
6.2.1. Both the Director and the USAFA SUAS Center of Excellence (COE) will publish Special Interest Item letters as required. SIIs will be briefed to and reviewed by all SUAS-O/I/Es during the pre-mission briefing.
6.2.2. SIIs will be current until rescinded, but are intended to provide short-term focus to perceived areas of concern.
6.3. Each Operations Supervisor will ensure all Go/No-Go items are complete before authorizing aircrews to step to fly. This includes an ORM assessment.
6.4. Conduct a Stan/Eval Board (SEB) semi-annually and record the minutes.
6.5. Establish and maintain a Trend Analysis program. Include flight evaluation and examination statistics, safety related incidents, and loss of Link or GPS statistics as a percentage of flight hours/sorties flown.
