a. Clear, grub and remove stumps as required from septic tank location to nearest sanitary sewer manhole with sufficient fall to allow for installation of new underground sewer line.

b. Trench and install new 4 inch sewer line, to include cleanouts (bronze caps with 1 inch square head) and concrete skirting at ground level every 100 LF, connecting septic tank inlet piping to nearest sanitary sewer manhole with sufficient drop. Install hard copper signal tracing wire at new sewer pipe

(with appearances at manhole and each cleanout) and metallic backed plastic marking tape at 18 inch intervals above new sewer pipe during backfilling of trench.

c. Pump out septic tank and demo in accordance with applicable Texas state rules and regulations. Backfill and seed.

2. Project Details:

a. Concept is to route from septic tank inlet piping (elevation 1768.5’) to

Manhole 6-13I (invert elevation 1754.0’ [bottom of manhole]), see attached concept illustrations.

b. Excavated soil can be used for backfill (not pipe bedding), excess shall be spread/leveled along sewer line trench.

c. Project drawings, DYS-W-1201 (5 sheets), of septic tank installation are shown as attachment 2 to this SOO.

d. New sewer line shall be installed and connected prior to demolition of septic tank to prevent interruption of service.

e. Proposal Drawings:

1) Should show proposed sewer line route and cleanout locations.

2) Should show a cross section of the trench with proposed sewer pipe/size/material, pipe bedding material, and fill material.

3) Should illustrate construction of proposed cleanouts/materials.

4) Should indicate where GIS data points are to be taken and anticipated vertical height of new sewer line relative to start and stop.

3. Bid Schedule: Project complete.
