SCHEDULE OF MATERIAL SUBMITTALS

INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETION OF SCHEDULE OF MATERIAL SUBMITTAL

(a) These instructions apply for construction contracts as required by the Contracting Officer.

(b) The following schedule of material submittals shall be initiated by the contractor to schedule the required submission date for each submittal. It is the responsibility of the contractor to schedule these due dates so that work will progress according to schedule. The Government requires at least (10) working days to evaluate and approve/disapprove a submittal. Additional review time may be expected for complex submittals, so the contractor shall plan accordingly.

(c) Upon award of a contract, the contractor shall complete the columns, starting with line number and ending with required submission date, of the Schedule of Material Submittals (AF Form 66). It is the responsibility of the contractor to extract all required submittals from the specification and enter them on the AF Form 66. Failure to list the submittal will not relieve the contractor from submission of required, data. Four (4) copies of this completed form shall be delivered to the Pre-construction Conference. The following abbreviations shall be used when scheduling submitta1 due dates:

DANTP ‑ Days After Notice To Proceed

DAT ‑ Days After Test

DPTC ‑ Days Prior To Completion

AS ‑ As Specified

If any other abbreviations are used, they must be defined at the bottom of each page of the submittal register.

(d) If contractor uses products exactly as specified in the contract specifications, no submittal (AF Form 3000) is required, and the required submission date column on the AF Form 66, shall be annotated with the symbol “AS.” The Government reserves the right to request a submittal that the contractor has annotated "AS" if it is a complex or a special order item. This request will usually be made at the Pre-construction Conference when the contractor provides the submittal register.

(e) It is the contractor’s responsibility to use products as specified. Any deviations from the specified requirements must have Government approval prior to use. The contractor will be held responsible for any corrections required to comply with Government specifications.
