Answers to Contractors questions during SABER Pre-Bid Conference 29 July 2011

1. Award Date- What is the anticipated award date?

Answer: Anticipating January 1, 2012 but it could be later. The date depends on how long the approval from AFGSC takes.

2. 4Clicks- Is this something we purchase or it available on a Government website?

Answer: This program can be purchased directly from the manufacture on the web (http://www.4clicks.com/). 4Clicks uses R.S. MEANS system. The 4Clicks program offers good features for the Government and easy to use. The contractor has to provide the software to the Government and provide training. One benefit will be that only those involved with SABER will have access to the program.

Answer: Yes, the Government will provide a space (lay down area). The contractor is responsible for providing their own trailer and connections to utilities. The Government will provide utilities for the sight.

4. Forth Coming Projects- Can you give an example of forthcoming projects?

Answer: Currently there are no seed projects. At the time of award there will be a project for 2K. We are looking at projects made up of multiple trades. Just keep in mind that the contractor awarded the contract will need to ensure they can handle more than one job at a time, have enough superintendents and subcontractors.

Answer: Bonding is required for task-orders over $30K. The Government will receive bonding for each task order even, which could be multiple task orders simultaneously.
