This is Amendment 0001 to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the U.S. Air Force for a Multi-Award Construction Contract (MACC) to repair Dormitory B464 at Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina. The amendment updates the pre-proposal questions due date from the original solicitation (FA441826R0009, dated July 23, 2026) to August 20, 2026, as briefed during the pre-proposal conference held on August 6, 2026. The Government intends to post answers to submitted questions to SAM.gov no later than August 27, 2026. The amendment is effective August 18, 2026, and is administered by the Air Force at Charleston AFB with contracting officer Robert Melton and contract specialist SSgt Lauren Parker.
The solicitation requires offerors to submit two-part proposals: Part I addresses the Seed Project price proposal for Dormitory B464 repair (estimated over $10 million), and Part II provides past performance information limited to fifteen contracts. Proposals must be submitted electronically via DoD SAFE with acknowledgment of this amendment required prior to closure. A mandatory pre-proposal site visit was scheduled for August 6, 2026, and prospective offerors limited to two personnel. Past performance contracts must be relevant and recent (within five years), located in the Southeast Region (SBA Region IV), and include specifications regarding facility renovation work ($1M–$30M range). The Seed Project price proposal requires completion of SF 1442 and pricing schedules for all Contract Line Item Numbers including bid options. Proposal validity is 180 days from submission, and site visits for individual task orders will generally be mandatory for awarded contractors.
