About this file

This is a Design-Build Statement of Work (SOW) for repairing Temporary Lodging Facilities (TLFs) at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi. The project involves a comprehensive renovation of ten TLF units across five buildings (B7204, B7206, B7208, B7210, B7212), with two units in each building. The renovation aims to standardize and refresh the units to a matching level of quality, standards, and finish, incorporating sustainable principles and life cycle cost-effectiveness as outlined in UFC 1-200-02.

The scope of work includes extensive renovations covering multiple systems and components: electrical (replacing panels, wiring, fixtures, and adding dedicated circuits), communications, fire protection (new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors), plumbing (replacing fixtures and addressing specific issues), mechanical systems, interior construction (wall and ceiling repairs, painting), and exterior construction (new doors, storm doors, and related improvements). The project requires a design-build approach, with the contractor responsible for design, documentation, quality control, and construction, adhering to specific Air Force and federal standards. The total project period is 365 days, with the work to be completed according to detailed specifications in the SOW.
