About this file
This document is a Design-Build Statement of Work (SOW) for repairing Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF) units at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. The project involves comprehensive renovations of two TLF units in Building 7202, with specific focus on achieving Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) compliance. For Unit 7202A, the renovation will transform it into a fully ABA-compliant unit, while Unit 7202B will remain a non-accessible TLF.
The SOW details extensive renovation requirements including electrical system upgrades, plumbing modifications, mechanical system improvements, interior construction changes, and exterior enhancements. Key renovation elements include replacing flooring, rewiring electrical systems, updating kitchen and bathroom fixtures, installing new doors and windows, implementing accessibility features, and ensuring compliance with sustainable design principles outlined in Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-200-02. The project is part of a broader effort to standardize and improve temporary lodging facilities, with a total project performance period of 365 days. The renovation must meet multiple federal, state, and local building codes, with a strong emphasis on safety, environmental protection, and quality control throughout the construction process.
