Air Education and Training Command (AETC) A5/8 Initial Pilot Training (IPT) Industry Day Announcement

8 January 2025

Air Education and Training Command (AETC) A5/8 will host an IPT Industry Day to provide an overview of the current state of Air Force pilot training and areas where AETC A5/8 seeks industry insight and perspective to improve the United States Air Force’s (USAF) Initial Pilot Production programs. This event aims to highlight specific areas of interest, foster early information exchange, and provide a platform for the Government and industry to share knowledge about existing or future capabilities.

The USAF has determined that this meeting, focused on the execution expectations of Initial Pilot Training (IPT), is a valuable opportunity to engage industry partners in identifying effective solutions to meet pilot production requirements. This approach enables the Government to discuss training objectives and explore innovative strategies to develop a robust IPT program.

Formal Requests for Information (RFI) outlining objectives were released for the IPT effort on 17 Nov 23, 12 Jun 24 and 12 Nov 24 as requirements changed. See https://sam.gov/opp/dc0ba97ad9de4c15a24222087bc13b82/view for SAM.gov link to RFI releases.

The Government will not assume liability for costs incurred by any attendee for presentations, marketing efforts, or materials provided for review.

Industry partners unable to attend the Industry Day can still obtain a copy of the presentation materials by registering for the event. Eligible registrants will receive the presentation slides after the event.
