About this file
This is a Certification of Workers' Rights exhibit for the Metaline Sorts contract opportunity administered by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). The certification document pertains to a Request for Quotations for harvesters and logging firms seeking to contract with WDFW for harvesting and delivering approximately 10,417 tons of sawlogs and 1,209 tons of pulpwood across 2 units encompassing 122 acres on the Sherman Creek Wildlife Area in Pend Oreille County, Washington. The contract will consider qualified harvesters, logging firms, operators of logging equipment, and any firms or individuals pre-qualified for the Department of Natural Resources' harvester bidding pool. The certification form requires vendors to disclose whether their firms require employees to sign mandatory individual arbitration clauses or class or collective action waivers as a condition of employment.
The certification is tied to Executive Order 18-03 (Supporting Workers' Rights to Effectively Address Workplace Violations, dated June 12, 2018) and RCW 39.26.160(3) regarding best value criteria evaluation. Bidders who certify that their firms do NOT require mandatory individual arbitration clauses or class or collective action waivers for employees will receive a 3 percent bid preference in the evaluation process. The certification must be completed under penalty of perjury by an authorized representative of the bidding firm, with signature, printed name, title, date, and location required on the document.
