About this file
This is a Sample Performance Bond document for WDFW RFQ 26-00003 issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). The bond template establishes the contractual framework between a principal contractor, a surety insurance company, and the State of Washington as obligee. The document outlines the conditions under which the bond remains in effect, requiring the principal to faithfully perform the contract to the satisfaction of the obligee, pay all labor and material suppliers, and indemnify the state from costs and damages resulting from the principal's default or failure to perform. The bond is payable upon demand by the obligee.
The performance bond includes standard terms and conditions, including a waiver of notice regarding alterations, extensions, or forbearance to contract terms other than payment. The document specifies that no right of action accrues to parties other than the obligee, and any suit to recover on the bond must be commenced within two years following the date the principal ceased work on the contract. The bond amount, principal name, surety company details, contract number, and execution date are to be completed at the time of contract award. This bond template is required in connection with WDFW's contract harvesting opportunity on the Sherman Creek Wildlife Area in Pend Oreille County, Washington, involving the harvesting and delivery of approximately 10,417 tons of sawlogs and 1,209 tons of pulpwood across 122 acres.
