About this file
This document is an exhibit containing technical diagrams for upright headstone realignment procedures in burial sections.
Figure 2 presents a plan view of burial section realignment, illustrating the systematic placement of keystones and headstones using string lines and alignment grids. The diagram shows an initial keystone positioned centrally, with subsequent keystones established to create a realignment grid. String lines are used to align both transverse and row directions, with rows required to be parallel to columns. The diagram indicates that in sloping terrain, additional keystones may be necessary to provide smooth transitions. Intermediate headstones are positioned after keystones are established, with the annotation specifying that subsequent keystones should be set onto the realignment grid.
Figure 3 provides elevation views of burial section realignment in both flat and sloped sections. The flat section diagram shows headstone placement relative to existing undisturbed soil surface and mean or average top soil surface levels, with realigned headstones positioned on a solid line and original headstone locations marked with a dashed line. The sloped section diagram illustrates projected vertical alignment relative to average top soil level using an imaginary string line, demonstrating how headstones should be repositioned on slopes while maintaining consistent vertical alignment relative to the existing terrain and original locations.
