About this file
This document is an exhibit containing technical diagrams for upright headstone realignment procedures in burial sections.
The exhibit presents two technical figures illustrating the realignment methodology. Figure 2 depicts a plan view (overhead perspective) of burial section realignment, showing the systematic placement of keystones as reference points for establishing proper alignment grids. The diagram indicates that an initial keystone is positioned first, followed by subsequent keystones placed onto the realignment grid. String lines are used to align both transverse and row directions. The diagram notes that in sloping terrain, additional keystones may be required to provide smooth transitions, and intermediate headstones are set after keystones are established with rows positioned parallel to one another and columns parallel to alignment guidelines.
Figure 3 provides elevation views illustrating vertical alignment methods for both flat and sloped burial sections. The flat section diagram shows headstones realigned to a solid line reference with original headstone locations marked by dashed lines, accounting for existing uneven top soil surfaces. The sloped section diagram depicts a projected vertical alignment relative to average top soil level, using an imaginary string line to establish proper positioning on terrain with grade variations. Both elevation views demonstrate how headstones are repositioned from their original locations while maintaining proper vertical and horizontal alignment according to the realignment procedure specifications.
