About this file
Exhibit 14J is a detailed training program specification for the Weapons Detection Training Program (WDTP) for Non-X-Ray Screening Initial Training. The document outlines an 8-hour comprehensive training program for Personnel Security Officers (PSOs) that covers administrative remarks, bomb component detection, terminology, pre-incident indicators, and practical screening techniques using walk-through and hand-held metal detectors.
The training program requires participants to meet specific performance standards, including passing a written examination with a minimum 70% score and demonstrating 70% accuracy in identifying pre-incident indicators and metal detector operation. PSOs must also achieve 100% accuracy in detecting and identifying dangerous weapons or prohibited items during a graded practical exercise. The training is designed to prepare PSOs for screening duties, with a recommended ratio of six students per instructor and a total training time not exceeding eight hours.
