About this file
This document is Appendix M of a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Texas Space Commission (TSC) under RFI #358-26-002, addressing vibroacoustic, vibration, acoustic, and electromagnetic interference/compatibility (EMI/EMC) testing capabilities. The RFI seeks information from respondents regarding their current and proposed testing facilities, mobile systems, or distributed networks that can support environmental testing for aerospace and related applications. Respondents must complete a separate Appendix M for each materially distinct asset, facility, or system and identify whether submissions represent current facilities, upgrade concepts, mobile systems, distributed networks, demand-only services, or greenfield comparisons. The appendix requires detailed technical specifications across multiple discipline areas, including vibration systems, acoustic chambers, EMI/EMC shielded rooms, and integrated test support capabilities, with particular emphasis on distinguishing between fixed and mobile configurations.
The appendix establishes comprehensive technical and operational requirements for respondent submissions, including current verified capabilities versus proposed post-upgrade capabilities, detailed specifications for equipment such as shaker types, frequency ranges, test article mass limits, and chamber dimensions. Respondents must address standards compliance across MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, RTCA DO-160, and NASA General Environmental Verification Standard (GEVS), along with calibration and accreditation documentation. The submission requirements include representative test campaign descriptions with rough order-of-magnitude pricing, upgrade and commissioning plans, technical risk assessments, and source documentation traceability. Key distinguishing factors identified for evaluation include mobile deployment capability, antenna and radiofrequency testing, combined environment testing, maximum test-article size and mass capacity, modal testing, shock and pyroshock capabilities, and instrumentation data acquisition sophistication. No specific response deadline, award date, or contract term information is provided within this appendix.
