About this file
This is a data sheet appendix from a Request for Information (RFI #358-26-002) issued by the Texas Space Commission regarding Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC) testing capabilities. The document serves as a standardized template for respondents to provide detailed information about fixed facilities, mobile systems, distributed networks, or development concepts that support EMI/EMC testing operations. Respondents are required to complete one data sheet for each materially distinct facility or system and must clearly identify existing and proposed EMI/EMC capabilities, including specific testing equipment such as shielded rooms, anechoic chambers, semi-anechoic chambers, and ground planes. The submission must detail conducted and radiated emissions and susceptibility capabilities across applicable frequency ranges, measurement uncertainty and calibration traceability, shielding effectiveness verification, and grounding and bonding support informed by spacecraft-charging requirements.
The data sheet requires respondents to provide comprehensive facility information including physical configuration details such as building area, high-bay clearance, floor capacity, electrical power systems, cooling infrastructure, data connectivity, and access routes. Respondents must also document current operational status, facility condition, certifications, staffing levels, insurance and bonding constraints, and availability windows. Critically, the RFI emphasizes NASA-aligned testing standards including MIL-STD-461 capabilities and the ability to generate final test reports suitable for spacecraft qualification and troubleshooting. The document indicates that respondents must address secure handling of proprietary, export-controlled, and customer test data, with particular focus on vibroacoustic, vibration, and EMI/EMC mobile test capabilities to support the state of Texas and the broader aerospace industry's spacecraft development and qualification requirements.

11. Final test reports suitable for spacecraft qualification or troubleshooting.
Of note, NASA describes EMI/EMC testing for space hardware as including conducted emissions, conducted susceptibility, radiated emissions, grounding/bonding, shielding effectiveness, measurement uncertainty, and radiated susceptibility that is crucial to reliable operation of spaceflight equipment as well as mission-critical systems.
Furthermore, critical evaluation of spaceflight hardware in extreme outer-space environmental variations necessary for development, engineering evaluation, qualification and preflight conditioning of spacecraft components or subassemblies are pertinent experiments.
