About this file
This document is the Deliverable Guidelines for a Building Information Modeling (BIM) management services contract with the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC). The guidelines detail the requirements for creating comprehensive Revit models of various building components, systems, and equipment in TFC's facilities across Texas, with the majority of the work taking place in Austin. The models will be used to facilitate facility management, maintenance, and future renovations. The document provides specific instructions on how to create and populate the Revit models for the architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire, IT, and security systems to match TFC's BIM standards.
The related state and local contract opportunity is RFP #0002646 for 3D scanning services to develop the Revit models. The contract will be for a period of 4 years, from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2025, with two optional 2-year renewals. The RFP was issued on July 11, 2024, with a mandatory pre-proposal teleconference on July 23 or 24, 2024. Proposals are due by August 9, 2024, and the contract will be awarded after interviews on August 23, 2024.
