About this file

This document contains a federal contract opportunity notice and a design review checklist for electrical systems. The contract opportunity is for design-build services to replace eight air handling units at the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Work includes designing, demolishing, and constructing new air handling systems, mixing boxes, filters, heating and cooling valves, actuators, dampers, and pneumatic controls. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $2 million to $5 million. The solicitation will be issued on May 12, 2021 via Beta.SAM.gov, with responses due June 14, 2021. The opportunity is set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. The design review checklist provides items for reviewers to ensure electrical schematics, design development documents, and construction documents comply with applicable VA standards for electrical systems at new medical facilities.
