About this file
This document is related to a request for proposals (RFP) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) for the implementation of a fully developed, hosted, and maintained Software as a Service (SaaS) system/solution for touch-free parking in parks and revenue collection. The key details include that DCR does not require bidders to provide staffing, as the objective is to streamline revenue collections using the latest technology and limit person-to-person contact. The vendor shall provide an on-site point-of-sale (POS) interface that integrates with a mobile application and online system for staff use at the fee locations. DCR will provide tablets and smartphones for field staff as necessary. The vendor may propose a hardware solution that can sell parking passes in person, provide customer support, and initiate system adjustments for the specific locations.
The pricing and other salient information are not explicitly stated in the document. However, the document indicates that the objective is to streamline revenue collections by using the latest technology and limit person-to-person contact, which suggests that the DCR is looking for a cost-effective and efficient solution.
