About this file
This document contains technical specifications for existing fluorescent light fixtures in supporting rooms at the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters Division. The specifications cover four fixture types including suspended fluorescent industrial lights, fluorescent strip lights installed in architectural coves, and details on construction, finishes, electrical components, and dimensions. Relevant manufacturers are also provided.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters Division for C3 Interior LED Lighting. While no further details are included on the required products, services, pricing, or response deadlines, the opportunity appears to be for replacing the existing fluorescent fixtures described in the technical specifications with new LED lighting.

^3 hLECTRONIC BALLASTS
TRIAD introduced the first electronic ballast in 1967. Today, with moreballasts installed than all otherelectronic ballast brands combined. TRIAD maintains its leadership position in the industry.
With thelargest installed baseof anybrand ofelectronic ballast, TRIAD provides an industry standard bywhich all others are judged.
Energy efficiency by design In renovation or retrofit projects.TRIAD ballasts can save as much as35 to 60 percent of present power costs depending on the current system and TRIAD ballast chosen. In new construction TRIAD ballasts canmeet the most demanding specifications for efficient operation, performance and integrity as part of the electrical system as a whole.
Quality Quality control over every step of manufacturing and careful evaluation ofevery component results ina product line of the highest possible standards for reliability and performance rallel lamp operation *-^any TRIAD ballasts feature parallel lamp connections. This
II that if one lamp should fail, the others will stay brightly lit.
Trouoieshooting and maintenance are simplified.
Five Year Warranty MagneTek is proud to offer the industry's first five-year warrantyand sen/ice program forour entire line ofTRIAD electronic ballasts. If anyTRIAD ballast should fail, other than as a result ofabuse or misapplication, within 5 years from thedate of manufacture. MagneTek will replace the ballast and pay •^^sonable replacement labor costs. This unique program is made
•isible by the extremely low failure rate demonstrated by millions 0 installed units.
Long life, less heat Maximum efficiency means lesswasted energy mthe form of heat. This increases ballast life dramatically andreduces air conditioning costs.
Versatile Whatever your particular installation callsfor— maximum energy efficiency, reduced harmonics, switchable light levels.
parallel circuitry or optimized performance—TRIAD has an elerironic ballast to meet yourneed
High Performance (HP) ballasts TRIAD "HP"ballasts aredesigned and manufactured with onegoal in mind —providing the ultimate in performance, reliability andenergy efficiency Total harmonic distortion isless than 10 percent. Other advanced features include virtually noiseless operation, consistent light output over wide variations in line voltage and a power factor of over 95percent.
Reduced Harmonic (RH) ballasts Harmonic distortion has becomea consideration for the lighting designer due to the large amount of non-linear equipment in today's commercial and industrial buildings. While providing the same high energy savings as other TRIAD electronic ballasts.
TRIAD .RH ballasts minimize the problem by producing total harmonic distortion of less than 20%.
Low Wattage (L) ballasts TRIAD L' ballasts utilize the inherent efficiency of high-frequency electronic ballasts and 32-watt T8 tri-phosphor lamps. The light output of the T8 lamps is reduced to match that of |M-watt T12 lamps, agenerally acceptable level. This reduction in light output results in aproportionate savings in energy. Potential energy savings canreach 60percent, making this a popular choice as themost economical ballast available. Total harmonic distortion is less than 20 percent.
