About this file
This document contains a question and answer sheet and details of a federal contract opportunity with the Department of Justice Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters Division. The question and answer sheet addresses an inquiry about using sensors other than nLight for a lighting control system, stating that nLight must be used since it is the existing system being expanded throughout the building and any other system would not be compatible. The federal contract opportunity solicitation is for interior LED lighting and requires 1' x 4' and 2' x 2' LED fixtures that are compatible with and connect to the nLight lighting control system via pre-terminated CAT5 cables.

| Will it be feasible to use other sensors then Nlite? | RFQ | Refer to the Brand Name or Equal for Solicitation Document where the following has been stated, |
“nLight Lighting Control System:
The building that these 1’ x 4’ LED fixtures, 2’ x 2’ LED fixtures, and modular wiring are being installed within already has areas where a nLight Lighting Control System exists. Therefore, there is no equal that can be substituted for the lighting controls since this system will be expanded throughout the building. The new relight 1’ x 4’ LED fixture and new 2’ x 2’ LED fixture MUST be compatible with a nLight Lighting Control System. Any or equal products that are NOT compatible with a nLight Lighting Control System shall result in the proposal not being considered. Additionally, any proposed or equal modular wiring system MUST be manufactured with pre-terminated and tested CAT5 cable that are attached to the required modular wiring components to connect these CAT5 cables to all light fixtures.”
