About this file
This document is a project manual for the City of Fort Myers' Warehouse Conversion project, specifically for the Parks and Records Departments located at 2801 Michigan Avenue in Fort Myers, Florida. The comprehensive renovation involves converting two existing warehouse buildings: a 7,100 square foot North Warehouse Building for the Records Department and a 10,594 square foot South Warehouse Building for the Parks & Recreation Department. The project manual contains detailed specifications for architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, including requirements for demolition, construction materials, installation procedures, and quality control standards. The documents indicate a thorough approach to transforming these warehouses into functional municipal facilities, with specifications covering everything from rough carpentry and thermal insulation to joint sealants and roof accessories.
The project specifications suggest a complex renovation requiring comprehensive technical expertise, with multiple specification divisions addressing various construction aspects. While specific contract value is not explicitly stated, the project involves significant infrastructure upgrades, including structural modifications, systems integration, and architectural enhancements. The specifications indicate compliance with the Florida Building Code and include detailed requirements for material selections, installation procedures, and quality assurance. The project appears to be funded through municipal sources, with strict adherence to local building regulations and performance standards. Contractors will need to demonstrate substantial technical capabilities, including experience with municipal facility renovations, compliance with local building codes, and the ability to manage a multifaceted construction project involving diverse architectural and engineering requirements.
