About this file

These are the Technical Specifications for the Parks & Recreation and Clerk of Court Records Facility project for the City of Fort Myers, Florida, prepared by RESPEC Company, LLC. The document details comprehensive technical requirements and measurement/payment guidelines for a construction project involving utility infrastructure, site preparation, paving, concrete work, sewer and water services, landscaping, and irrigation. The specifications incorporate Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction (2025/2026 Edition) and City of Fort Myers Standard Specifications, covering everything from pre-construction video documentation to final landscaping installation.

The payment structure is based on unit pricing and lump sum payments for various project components, including mobilization, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, stabilization, base courses, asphalt and concrete work, drainage structures, sidewalks, sewer and water services, and landscaping. The specifications require detailed record-keeping, including as-built documentation, pressure testing, sewer system video documentation, and utility surveys. Contractors will be responsible for comprehensive site work, including all necessary labor, materials, equipment, excavation, restoration, and compliance with local and state specifications, with payment contingent upon successful completion of each specified task.
