RE: Rainbow Springs State Park Ranger Station Proposal for Professional Surveying, Engineering, and Architectural Services

Dear Mr. Russell:

We appreciate this opportunity to provide you with our proposal for professional surveying, architectural, and engineering services for the proposed Ranger Station project.

Our understanding is that the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) desires to construct an approximately 1,200 square foot ranger station at Rainbow Springs State Park. In addition, the FDEP proposes a parking area meeting Marion County Land Development Code, an RV turn around/by-pass, and two ‘pull over’ RV spaces. The project will require a topographic survey of the construction area with tree locations shown to meet Marion County requirements; geotechnical investigation for building foundation design and stormwater management design recommendation, civil engineering services for site design, permitting, and construction plan preparation; and architectural services for building design, permitting, and construction plan preparations. The project will require permitting through Marion County, Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD), and the FDEP. The project will also require review and approval from the City of Dunnellon for water and wastewater connections and Duke Energy for the electrical connection.

We appreciate you considering George F. Young, Inc. (GFY) for this project, and we look forward to working with you. The specific description of professional services is provided in the attached scope of services, Exhibit A along with Exhibits B, C, and a summary of the proposed compensation, Exhibit D. Upon your review and acceptance of the scope of services and fees outlined in the attached exhibits, you may authorize us to proceed by providing a Task Assignment for these Services. If you have any questions, please contact me at (352) 378-1444,. We look forward to working with you on this project.

Sincerely, GEORGE F. YOUNG, INC.
