DEP Agreement Number CN200, Task Assignment Number 17
Subtask 1: Survey Description: GFY proposes to perform a detailed topographic survey including cross sections every 50 ft, a surface 3D model and traditional topo survey of the existing ground from the edge of shoulder to edge of shoulder.
1A: Survey o Detailed topographic survey is included in this proposal. Measurements will be provided at every 50’ intervals at the top of curb, edge of pavement, and centerline of the roadway as well as detailing pedestrian features such as curb ramps in the immediate vicinity of the roadway/parking lot pavement. A topographic survey and surface 3D model will be provided as deliverables.
o The access road on the east side of the parcel is not included in this scope.
Deliverable: Survey deliverables include an electronically signed and sealed topographic survey on 11x17 sheets in PDF format. All relevant .dwg CADD files will also be provided. Paper copies can be provided upon request.
Performance Measure: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.
Fixed Price Cost: Manhour Summary
Total for Subtask 1: $8,299.76
Subtask 2: Geotechnical Engineering Description:Geotechnical Coordination and Evaluation is provided in the scope to aid in design. Pavement cores are being proposed to assist in evaluating the existing structural number and ensure our resurfacing plan will provide adequate strength and longevity of the proposed design. We also recommend additional hand auger borings to estimate the seasonal high ground water table (SHGWT) and ensure areas of significant pavement distress are not the result of perched water tables. The geotechnical data will be obtained at the time of the Survey phase.
2: Geotechnical Report Pavement Pavement Cores o Clear utilities at the site through Sunshine One Call.
o Provide Maintenance of Traffic (MOT). MOT will include signage and cones. Since it is a lightly trafficked roadway, we anticipate one flagman will be sufficient.
o Mobilize to the site with coring equipment.

Subtask 1: Survey o Advance fourteen (14) cores through the asphalt wearing surface, limerock base course and stabilized subgrade (if present) to determine their thicknesses. We will patch the cores with cold patch asphalt. You should consider the patches to be temporary.
o Advance seven (7) auger borings to depths of 5 feet depth. The auger borings will be o performed at locations to provide anticipated seasonal high groundwater levels spread across the site.
o Develop a Geotechnical Pavement Report documenting the following:
Existing site conditions.
Exploration, testing and sampling methods.
A tabulation of the coring results.
Auger boring logs and estimates for the seasonal high groundwater table.
Preliminary recommendations for milling and resurfacing and preliminary recommendations for pavement design. If detailed information regarding the average daily traffic (ADT), ESALs, serviceability, design life, etc. can be provided a more detailed pavement design can be provided.
Deliverable: The results of the exploration will be presented in an electronically signed and sealed geotechnical engineering report in pdf format.
Performance Measure: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.
Fixed Price Cost: Manhour Estimate
Total for Subtask 2: $2,171.86
Subtask 3: Roadway Engineering Description: Roadway design limits include the main driveway leading to the parking lot loop and parking stalls. Roadway plans will include a best fit alignment, detailed resurfacing typical sections, plan sheets, and cross sections as need for construction documents. Roadway plans will also include an Opinion of Probably Cost at 90% and 100% phase submittal utilizing FDOT Historical Costs. Phase Submittals will be structured as follows: 30%, 90%, and 100% Construction Documents & Specifications.
Civil Engineering services shall include construction documents with three (3) pavement designs to include a standard milling and resurfacing (in kind), mill and overbuild, and reconstruction options.
There are no stormwater concerns at this time as impervious areas are not to anticipated to increase for this maintenance related scope of work.
