About this file
This document contains Technical Specifications for a Parks & Recreation and Clerk of Court Records Facility project by the City of Fort Myers, prepared by RESPEC Company, LLC on July 11, 2025. The specifications outline comprehensive construction requirements following both City of Fort Myers and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) standards, covering multiple aspects of infrastructure development including site preparation, utility installation, road construction, concrete work, landscaping, and irrigation. The technical specifications detail measurement and payment methods for various construction elements such as mobilization, maintenance of traffic, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, stabilization, base courses, asphalt paving, concrete structures, sidewalks, sanitary sewer systems, water services, and landscaping.
The payment structure is unit price and lump sum based, with costs inclusive of labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and all necessary incidentals to complete each specified work item. Quality control testing is required and must conform to City of Fort Myers and FDOT specifications, with testing costs integrated into the respective pay items. Additional requirements include pre-construction video documentation, as-built record plans with detailed horizontal and vertical alignment information, pressure testing, sewer system video documentation, and utility support. The project involves both North and South parcels, with landscape and irrigation plans prepared by David M. Jones Associates (DMJA), and encompasses comprehensive infrastructure development for municipal facilities.
