About this file

This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) Annex A document that establishes maintenance performance requirements and quality standards for equipment repair shop operations at a military installation.

The document outlines comprehensive maintenance performance requirements organized into seven major functional categories: Materiel Maintenance General, Materiel Maintenance Support, Materiel Maintenance Programs/Efforts, Allied Trades, Repair Parts and Materiel Management Tasks, Production Control, and Food Service Equipment. Each task specifies required quality standards, sampling methodologies, lot definitions, and Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL). Quality standards reference compliance with Army Regulations (AR 750-1, AR 190-11, AR 710-2), Department of Army Pamphlets, technical manuals, military industry standards, OSHA requirements, and federal regulations including 40 CFR Part 82. Sampling methods include random periodic shop/activity inspections and monthly or bi-weekly surveillance as applicable. Most maintenance tasks require 95% AQL, with critical security and sensitive items requiring 100% AQL and food service equipment tasks requiring 90% AQL. Specific technical requirements address equipment repair, welding (AWS certified), non-destructive testing (ANSI/ASNT CP-189 certified), metal machining, fabrication, painting, body repair, carpentry, tire maintenance, wheel alignment, glass repair, air conditioning and refrigeration services, small arms repair parts management, and food service equipment preventive and unscheduled maintenance. Performance metrics include timeliness standards whereby work must be completed within time estimates provided at work induction, with unscheduled maintenance service calls requiring response within 24 hours or one business day of notification.
