Northern Cascades Site Visit Information and Agenda
All interested participants shall be ready to depart Fields Point Landing, WA at 7:30am, Wednesday, June 29, 2022. There is a $5 charge for day use parking at Fields Landing. The parking lot is locked for the evening at 9pm.
The Government will provide up-lake transportation, via the Stehekin ferry, with arrival at the Stehekin landing at approximately 9:45am.
Government provided ground transportation from the Stehekin landing area to the project site will depart approximately 45 minutes after the arrival of the ferry.
After a 15-20 minute ride to the project site, the tour of the site will begin upon delivery of everyone.
The scheduled site visit will last approximately 2 hours with the ground transportation returning everyone to the Landing around 1-1:30pm.
The ferry will depart Stehekin for Fields Point Landing at 4pm.
The time between the return to the Landing and the departure for Fields Point is unstructured/unplanned and can be used by the participants as desired for lunch or for further investigation into project logistics, lodging, a follow-up self-conducted site visit, etc.
As eating establishments are very limited, participants should either plan to bring their own food for this trip or to purchase food from one of two available establishments: The dining facility at the North Cascades Lodge at Stehekin Landing, or the Stehekin Pasty Company, located 2 miles away.
