About this file
This document outlines requirements for a federal contract opportunity to provide protective services to multiple NASA centers. The contractor will be required to provide in-car video systems with audio capability for patrol vehicles across several NASA locations, as well as body worn cameras for security officers. Approved systems must meet specifications for video format, encryption, battery life, and other technical requirements. The contractor must also provide a video management system from the same provider as the equipment. This is a draft RFP to acquire these protective services through an 8(a) small business set-aside contract with a total potential value of $198 million. The final RFP will be released on or about February 5th, 2022, with proposals due approximately 30 days later. The contract will have a base year and five option years, and involve work at NASA Glenn Research Center, Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA Headquarters, and Langley Research Center.
