1. Every pallet which is delivered must have two (2) bar coded load tags adhered to the plastic stretch wrap, one (1) on each side where the fork truck blades insert into the entry side of the pallet.
2. Two (2) labels, minimum 4” x 6”, pressure sensitive type.
3. Labels to be white.
4. Barcode to be in either 3/9 HRD or 128 HRD and one (1) inch minimum height.
5. The 1st line of the label will be 24 characters in length, the example is as follows:
The format is as follows: PC06219277 1 0001 072307
· Purchase Order # (10 characters), in this example is PC06219277
· A blank space
· 1 is in the line # on a Purchase Order and is usually 1, but can range from a 1 to a 6, depending on the Purchase Order
· A blank space
· Pallet # (4 characters – this unique # will be the starting pallet #) in this example the skid number is 0001
· A blank space
· MMDDYY (this will be the manufacture date and will be referred to as the “Born on Date”), in this example the “Born on Date” is 072307
6. Product sizes (where applicable) kept separate.
7. Product colors (where applicable) kept separate.
8. All pallets must have Purchase Order #, Skid #, quantity and cases/skid even if line 5 requirements above are not met.
9. Pallet requirements are as follows:
· Product to be shipped on a 40”x48” or 42”x50” good quality pallet, with all runners and stringers in good condition to support the load up to 24’ high in a rack system
· Pallets will not be returned to vendor.
· Disposable pallets will not be allowed.
· Cases are to be strapped securely and shrink wrapped to pallets for shipment, shrink wrap to be minimum 60 gauge polypropylene or PVC film.
· Only plastic strapping shall be utilized.
· Heavy cardboard edge covers should be placed at the four (4) vertical edges (corners) of cases strapped to pallets and on the four (4) horizontal edges of the top cartons of the pallet for protection.
· The total height of a palletized product cannot exceed 53” in height. This 53” height must include both the actual pallet and top of the product.
· All four (4) sides of each pallet must also have a load tag (minimum 8 ½” x 11” white paper) which list the type of product, purchase order #, pallet #, and # of cases on the pallet.
The Bidder agrees to abide by and acknowledges receipt of these requirements.
