About this file
Attachment K is a Certification of Drug Free Workplace form from the State of Florida, specifically related to the Productivity Tools RFP (No. 25-43231513-RFP) issued by the Department of Management Services. The form requires respondents to certify they have implemented a comprehensive drug-free workplace program, which includes publishing statements prohibiting controlled substance use, informing employees about drug abuse dangers, providing employees with written policy statements, notifying employers of drug-related convictions, and maintaining ongoing drug-free workplace efforts. The certification is part of a competitive solicitation process where, in the event of equal proposals, this certification could provide a preference in award determination.
The document outlines six specific requirements for the drug-free workplace program, including publishing employee notifications about controlled substance prohibitions, informing employees about drug abuse dangers and available assistance programs, distributing policy statements, requiring employee notification of drug-related convictions, imposing sanctions or rehabilitation requirements for convicted employees, and making good faith efforts to maintain a drug-free workplace. The form must be signed by an authorized representative who certifies compliance, with a warning that false statements are punishable under law. This certification is tied to Section 287.087, F.S., which provides a potential competitive advantage in the state procurement process for vendors demonstrating robust workplace drug policies.
