About this file

This is a Mercury Affidavit attachment for the State of Maryland's re-solicitation for janitorial services at the Edward F. Borgerding District Court/Multi-Service Center in Baltimore City. The affidavit requires the authorized representative of a bidding business to certify under penalty of perjury whether the products offered contain mercury. Bidders must indicate whether their products are mercury-free or, if mercury is present, provide detailed documentation identifying the specific product or component containing mercury and the exact amount of mercury by unit of measure. The affidavit acknowledges that the document will be provided to the procurement officer and may be distributed to Maryland state units, counties, other states, and the federal government.

The affidavit is binding under applicable United States and Maryland law, both criminal and civil, and does not supersede any statutory rights or remedies of the State of Maryland regarding misrepresentation or violations of contract obligations.
